Ideal solution for a Grand Design
Ideal Boilers will be making its TV debut this winter when one of its HE commercial appliances features in the brand new series of Grand Designs on Channel 4, which goes on air from October.
The Ideal Imax W80 has been installed in Grand Designs biggest-ever conversion project, where a 17th Century church in Tipton, West Midlands, has been converted into a five bedroom, four bathroom residential property by local builder, Dean Marks.
Dean, who was also responsible for designing and managing the project, said: I was delighted when Grand Designs approached me and wanted to cover the conversion for the TV series.
I have been working on the property for the last four and a half years. The home is for my family, and because I have carried out the project from start to finish, it has been thoroughly exciting. Now I am in the final stages so I can see the reward for all my efforts, it’s a dream come true!
Along with the five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the 17th Century church also features an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, two dining rooms, kitchen, lounge, study, library and glass domed conservatory.
Continued Dean: Because of the unique nature of this project, it was vital we found a boiler that could meet the heating requirements for the home. We selected the Ideal Imax W80 HE boiler based on the quality, compact size, reliability and performance of the appliance. To complement this, the wall hung boiler is highly energy efficient, offering excellent savings on fuel bills, along with meeting the latest revisions to the Building Regulations to help reduce carbon emissions. Ideal Boilers also provides installers with excellent technical support and service back-up.
